chrome ball incident #659: power
"I don't fear anything."
Figured I owed you big after yesterday's burnout and no one's bigger than Jeremy Wray.
Not even sure if kids realize how important this dude is... true legendary status.
I'd like to send a special thanks to the staff over at Transworld for the shout out in the new issue. Geniunely stoked on that.
And also be sure to check this out as well. Kelch kills it!

I much prefer reading your interviews to the ones published in TWS. So Congrats on the shout out. I'll be looking for it!
Kids might not know Jeremy's importance, but I know a number of top street skaters sure do...
Wray and Creager have been blowing my mind for so many years now. I hear people say how so and so are under rated, but everyone who should know..certainly knows whats' up with legends like Wray. I would be way more stoked if J. Wray gave me props then 10,000 kids on youtube. The things done on a skateboard by this man are epic.
Thanks for all the great post too, Chops. You're gonna need a donate button on here pretty soon so I can tip you on your time spent on making older skaters stoked on a daily basis.
I always looked at his double arm swing technique and wondered if this was some sort wing flap for extra float time. I tried to emulate but it made me stink even more.
This guy wore out my VCR. My top 1 skateboarder of all time!!!
One of the timeless legends who's never pandered to trends & fads, marching to the beat of his own drum. Any of his photos or footage from 95 onward is always difficult to date accurately (a good thing, I reckon) and even now, he's still one step beyond the rest of the crowd.
ahem...
The caption under that frontside boardslide photo—how to shake it like a white girl—is still funny.
And yeah, Ciaran is right—Jeremy Wray's coverage is timeless. I hope Element still pays him.
One of my all time faves. I agree nearly 100% with what everyone else has said here but I'll just add one more thing.
Sports Arena Triple Set.
Great post. Dude is sick for sure. Must be nice to have such control and power on a fs 360 ollie. That fence one in incredible.
So many good shots in this one. I concur with other posters... some of his shit is timeless. Super pop when others were sliding, bouncing and/or lawn mowering their flip tricks.
Always stoked to see old emb footage. Keltch had a killer bs ollie, tail and lip.
still my fav.
I always thought he was underrated as a technical skater. He wasn't just big ollies... but the stuff he did (triple set ollie, water tower ollie, etc.) was so ridiculous that's what stands out.
dude thank you so much for this post. and for all the rest of 'em, too!
Larger than life itself.
One of my al time faves. I keep hoping that this dude will drop a part and show everyone he's still killing it.
i said this when you did a Jaramillo page, but thanks for repping Blockhead again. i was their only fan in my neighborhood.
The old Thrasher cover is classic. Wray is rad.
Great post, dude is one of the all time greats! Inspired me to learn fs 360s although I never threw one off more than a curb. I can't imagine that trick down big shit.
Drive by those water towers from time to time and still can't believe someone thought to ollie them. That gap and drop is massive!
