so good to see Reemo popping up in the mix as of late...
after rewatching some of these classic parts, its actually kind of hard to believe that he could have ever really went away, ya know?.
...and you know he's still got it if he wanted to.
alright guys, no post tomorrow as I'm behind on stuff and I still have to transcribe and edit Friday's interview... but i think you'll dig what's coming up.

Kareem is one who comes up in conversations by default when discussing those who had it way back when, still did later, always has. Prob. the main reason I liked World at one point, along with the rest of the team at that time.
Ha ha that kid who get's ollied over looks like he had a lobotomy, forgot about that old ad. Thank's! Kareem, one of the best backsideflips ever and he seem's like a nice guy. When the Menaceteam went to Stockholm, people were all nervous like they would be doing the cripwalk or something. Turns out they were the nicest pro's (plus Donny Barley) ever to come to Stockholm, trying to remember peoples name's, shaking hands with the kids and stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5iZU9hFdRs Had to sneak in a little flatground by Kareem from 1991, style is forever. Thank's for the post!
Kareem really was one of the best-you don't see style like that no more. Shame he seemed to get screwed on the legal side of things time and again, from Menace to All City and now Axion. Axion without Kareem just ain't right you know?
great stuff as always, chops. muchas gracias
on a side-note, anyone got a scan of the kareem pic from thrasher where he's ollieing over a couple of rails? it was at the CBS building in LA
went there to check it out around thanksgiving 1993, obv didn't do it as i'm a pussy. the gods punished me as i lost a wheel nut, so i had to walk home
Stoked again - any KC is good KC.
Don't forget about the legendary 180 at the Houston Shut Up & Skate from that old 411.

I still need to know the name of that song!
I had the gap over to crooks pic on my wall for years.
Can't get enough KC.
Another one of my favorite skaters and people in the industry...
The kid he ollied over, if memory serves me right is Roccos nephew..
He really has incredible style. Great post...and really stoked on the upcoming interview...
well done E.
Always a fan on Kareem. Dude is definitely one of the nicest guys I've come across in the industry.
back tail on a rail with a do rag. I don't think anyone could pull that off without looking like a total jackass.
Nose slide with a Blue shirt on. Nice! I think that photo is labeled incorrectly. Isn't that the FBI building in LA, by the cemetary? Not SF. Gonz fs boards it as his last trick in Video Days.
I'll also add that it's nice to see the 411 footage of the bs 180 from the Houston contest show up on youtube. Thanks to whoever uploaded that.
Style for miles. When I first saw that shitty tk baker ad proclaiming he was the best black skater I instantly thought of Kareem. To me he's always kind of been like the Jordan of skateboarding.
Kareem Campbell. Ah man...Axion shoes and clothing. Menace (later All City, later City Stars). The guy had the streetwear look on lock a good decade before it took over. And Menace was straight up THUG.
Man that's a good contest section. Remember watching that all the time way back.
Super weird video in the related videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNc7mjaEFXs
Some dude asking Koston "Is Kareem Campbell good?" by the YouTube account "iskareemcampbellgood", which only has one video.
Internetz iz krazy.
Was just having a discussion on Kareem on Saturday. Yes, the backside flip came up. Nice one.
Had a dream that I was flipping through a magazine last night and I came upon a legit, new Menace ad. It was back. That dream was weird.
Keith -
That definitely is the Federal Building in SF. There's a picture of Mike Hernandez 50/50ing it in an issue of Thrasher. Pretty sure it was Thrasher. Might have even been a 2 page spread. And if memory serves me right, there's also a picture of Brian Chung doing a fs boardslide down it in his post. They definitely look similar though. Especially the shape of the rail. Although, I think the one in LA is more silver looking.
The BS flip shot at world park is one of the best photos of all time. Love those reeboks.
@JayCee.
So has all the footage of skating at that silver rail with bars been in SF and not LA? Gonz fs board (Video Days), Duffy fs 180 nose grind (Virtual Reality), Natas board slide (Streets on Fire).
Keith-
No, that's actually all the silver rail in LA. I think they just look similar, but if you were to look at the rail in SF, you'll see its a lot darker. More bronze looking. Pretty tall too.
Still waiting for Chet Thomas.
YES! KC baby! I had the planter ollie on my wall for ages. If memory serves correctly he 360 flipped on eof those. Not to mention he kick flips a trash can standing up in Trilogy. KC is incredible, that sw/ front shuv he does off the bump in trilogy is so bangin, it's like 20 feet long 10 feet high, people are screaming. Legend of Legends. You know he's still got it.
Sincere thanks for this post. I had a broken clavicle in high school, wached trilogy once a day and slo-mo'd reemo's kick flips in that video and learned them straight from that when I got back on it.
Kareem still skates around here in Dallas when he's in town. He still has it too.
The lurker that is waiting for Chet:
Waiting for Chet Thomas might take a while. So many hardflips and not enough time!
To me Darkstar is a boring joke and they do not even have the capability to even do semi-cool graphics. Dungeons and dragons and skateboardcompanys do not mix. Like Biggie said " two dick's and one bitch don't mix. No homo fo sho. Im straighter than Autobahn. Fuck homophopbia by the way, what are skaters affraid of really? Gay as in weak, scared, wierd crazy or just straight up gay. That word needs to go away, really'doe.
Probability of a Chet Thomas post on CBI = 0.00
Kareem is the definition of dope! He answers his pager mid line in trilogy haha. 20 shot and trilogy parts never get old.
