"he can do anything he wants." -Natas
since dude's essentially been the gold standard in street skating for almost two decades now, there really doesn't need to be another little write-up on some crappy blog letting you know how great he is...
it's Koston.
p.s. I am so not photogenic... but thanks Patrick.

even small wheels and weird shapes couldn't stop the steez from oozing out of homeboy...

mid 90s - khakis, white tee, some white etnies or es. beautiful shit man, beautiful
that dj koston ad is soooo good. haa. that ss kf back t was a trip. you really had to stare at the ad for a while.
falling down is still my fav part of his. ss inward heel 5-0, can people do that today? switch tre at emb. im still tripping. almost two decades ago. dang. niked
ALL TIME FAV. But still cant understand why he quit lakai...
Totally amazing skateboarder.
Unfortunate positioning of that sticker on the Thrasher SOTY cover though. I bet you were thinking Eric... Eric Who?!?! Eric Pupecki? Eric Jueden?
He looks so young in that sw tre flip. Nice Henry shirt and Airwalk Sorry.
That Good Stuff is some solid slaying of that wall into the fountain.
It's amazing what he can do dorking around on a skateboard.
K,
Ummm, I think he's still peaking. I feel like he's gotten better and better and it is mind blowing how someone can progress and age like that. He's amazing.
K,
p.s. I do agree with you on the mid 90's. It's mid 90's best for everything. I loved those kits he was sporting as well, the grey khaki's, white tee, white shoes. Lots of gum soles. lovely.
My friend and I watched that 101 promo at a skate shop in Austin, TX. We were both like, Damn... Who is this guy? World / Blind / 101 / etc. was the sh-t back then, but Koston was on another level. Switch 360 flip down the Embarcadero seven f-ckin' forever ago... How many people were even doing that trick on flat back then?
What about his vert skillz??? what if he would of stayed a vert skater???
would of he had been the next tony hawk on vert???lol....
He really is a machine. I agree that he's only getting better - or at least he's plateaued at a very high level. He has no problem keeping up with the latest round of flip/spin absurdity AND he makes it look better than most. Effortlessness just oozes out of him.
What's there to say... love Koston.
Falling Down part is so, so sick.
Once saw dude at a contest, and kids were freaking out for him to sign their boards, and he did, of course, and he was being so nice and asking kids their names, and kid said his name, and Koston was all "That's an awesome name, you sign my board!" The kid almost died and it was one of the radder things I've seen in my days.
101 Raver ad so sick.
the man,period!
the man,period!
looooooooooongevity
he peaked around the chocolate tour and yeah right and fell off soon thereafter. sure, he skates well enough to be pro, but I haven't been hyped on anything hes put out since. his part in flared was filled with a bunch of baker spots and attempted (and failed) one-ups. there are too many people that kill it harder than him these days for me to take him and his antics seriously.
