chrome ball incident #258: forget the swan

Regardless which of his "eras" you prefer, Pops is easily one of my favorite skaters to emerge this decade.

And really feeling these Strobeck cuts. Dude is absolutely killing it.

*bonus* this last one isn't really even that old... just a personal fave.

shout out to markus wyndham.

Pole jam at the banks, gets me still. Grown Pops, 100% over kiddo.

I like tech Pops over hesh Pops. Only by a bit though.

I think I had his last Alien board. That sucker lasted me almost 4 years. I only really skated it a dozen times or so.

Cant' get into this guy - thought he sucked on Fully flared - but hey he still skates better than me. Marcus Mcbride or more mariano from 97-98 please.

Pops sequence.

I'm not certain "hesh" really applies. He was running nollieflips and nollie tres throughout the current times footage in the VBS deal.

Early Pops is my fave but getting used to his new style. At least he has stayed in the game and is still producing more than others to come up quick out of that era of east coast ledge monkeying

though nobody beats out the gonz, pops would probably #2 for me. i have a full interview from just before flared right next to my bed.

that mosaic part is a killer. its the boundary between "fresh" and "hesh".

and i agree with that one guy, shiloh greathouse should appear here someday soon.

I still don't get why so many people don't like him anymore. doing what he wants/likes, super sick!

p.s. my word verification is 'wangs' haha!

My ledge skating skills peaked in 2001 or something, and now I don't have the patience, or more importantly, the balls for a lot of things, so I've just tried to take a more "interesting" approach to skating since then (when I"m not skating mini-ramp with some beers). Watching the second Strobeck clip with Pops in it, it dawned on me; Poppalardo is doing the same thing I'm trying to do, except he's good at it. Pops kills.

All Pops is good Pops. And that front 180 switch crooks is craze!

I always loved watching Pappalardo skate, before and even more now! His tricks selection and style are just sooo good! You can see he puts effort to try something else and not the same thing that everybody else is doing, about the change of style i would say he just getting old like everybody else, like Mariano, i would love to watch a new part of him just with picnic table lines at lockwood but he just got over it and its trying something else you know...Thats my point of view though, i'm pretty sure a lot of people won't agree.

grown pops versus kiddo pops is kinda like apples and oranges to me... just so different and i really like 'em both. but if i were to state a preference, i just find grown pops so much more interesting. no knocking the tech craze stuff but everything pops is putting out these days is just on some ol' other shit.

said this before, but i think if i was a youngster, i'd probably really hate him though.

marcus mcbride and shiloh posts coming soon enough. probably marcus first though.
