chrome ball incident #252: ok/no way

one of the more interesting things for me personally about the guy mariano epicly later'ds (so far) is that footage of a bummed-out j lee in his truck, obviously feeling the frustration and pressure of his first big video project.

i've brought this up before but i was lucky enough to see jason skate at a demo around that same time period and dude remains one of the best skaters i've ever seen skate in person... and I've seen some heavys. dude absolutely killed it. so good in fact that the possibility of him experiencing any form of self-doubt seemed kinda ridiculous... an irrational thought for sure, but regardless, that roadside bummer scene of his was really kinda jarring to me. guess it goes to show that everybody has their demons.

alright party people, on-going network problems have led your friend and humble narrator to some bullshit coffehouse on the southside of town, paying $2 for 15 minutes of access on a virus-infested computer (the laptop is away with the mrs. on business). word is that technicians will be alleviating this sad state of affairs tomorrow. let's hope so...

Good luck with the Verizon bastards.

I quite enjoyed being schooled on tricks Saturday night over Stella Artois and hot wings. Slowly but surely, this is all sinking in...

Am I correct in saying that TWS cover being a Morris photo?

Always liked Jason Lee. He had the first 360 flip sequence in a magazine ever. That ad with him and Vallely, both sequences down a grass gap drop. 360 flip by JLee, half cab method by Vallely.

I'm pretty sure Tobin Yelland shot it. I think it is on his website.

miss peel = the backbone of this operation.

don't know of any footage of that backside ollie but you're right, smorales... yelland with the snap.

keith, that grass gap ad was after jason had a sequence of him doing it on flat once before. one other dude is in the same magazine also flipping a tre... and his post is coming up soon. you have a few hours to guess.

thanks skeem and stoner.

Have to give you nothing but the UTMOST respect (not Up Most as I read it spelled this week right on a BIGTIME internet site--too damned funny!) for you for going through all you do to bring this site to those of us who read it, soak it in and love it. It ALMOST makes me wanna go get out my old Skateboarders, Action Nows and OG Thrashers (and I have almost ALL of em here in-house actually) and do a 70's/80's version of the pioneers---but I know how much work what you do entails---which is why I have such regard for this site.
