#159: chrome rules everything around me









cream: one of the most slept-on companies in skateboarding history. heads just weren't ready.

now go out and vote... and HOPE we don't fuck this one up (again).

I was stoked on Cream and ADI when they started. Ibaseta was always one of my favourites. I saw him at FTC in 91 and he was super nice and mellow. His kf bs tail in useless was so smooth for the time. Great stylish skater. Same with Jeff Pang.

yea its most definitely unfortunate that companies like CREAM and Metropolitan never blew up like they were supposed to. That one ad with the "backstab, bankrob, extortion" quote was ahead of its time, and would still make a dope ad. bottom line is that not everything that is timeless or unique takes home money and recognition.

2. a bunch of my good friends skated for adi. i wish deluxe could have done it some more justice. adi is probably the most loved company that never put out a video. along with axion...

CREAM! Unfortunately it was somewhat ahead of it's time. Rick is a good friend of mine and I was really stoked when he started Cream. I recently did an interview with him for 48 Blocks and Cream was definitely one of the topics he wanted to touch on. Actually, we never even got to that part cause he kinda spaced it (he was a little blaaaaazed when he came over to my house). haha I really should work on that thing and get it out there!
