chrome ball incident #95: beth partys with the homeboys
i was pretty stoked on this over at brainwash victim and wanted to hook up the Transworld version of a Gonz interview from this same era. June '87.
I think that's the first handrail flick ever published (UPDATE: it's not).
...and I forgot how kooky Psycho Skate was.

Classic. Life's a Beach iron cross cuffed pants with matching beret. And Life's a Beach shoes. Damn interview is too short though.
Haha, and the griptape, quote also. Classic, that is also one of the first photos of the infamous school w from all the old H-street videos.
yeah, this is early Transworld before the interviews started getting longer and longer (and more boring) with that single panel "continued" joint in the back. That Life's a Beach gear is out of control... there's some ads with vallely rockin that same kit like a month after this came out. The outfit is scary enough, but to actually see it and decide to bite makes it even worse. yipes!
school w was so good. hens used to rip that place back in the day. is it still around?
man... that Thrasher interview is super old. Funny that he rode for Vision but talks about wanting to ride for SMA and is only rocking Vision for the money LOL. That's pretty harsh. Look at how freaking square those EMB ledges are. Crazy... I was in grade 6 or 7 back then and hadn't even purchased my first pro model board yet. Think I was probably rocking a Variflex.
Even that Transworld interview, I was still rocking a Variflex. The first mag I ever bought was the TWS with the Cab interview.
This is some seriously old shit.
O says the Jonni Kop photo in Laguna was the first handrail slide ever printed...
O would know. Thanks Ron.
