chrome ball incident #780: pinky tuscadero
"Just enjoy what you have. Stay fit. Respect the law. Save money. Pay taxes. Live life."
This dude has truly been there and back... and he ain't done yet.
One of the best to ever step foot on a board, Sean Sheffey.
Threw in that recent Blind ad to give those youngsters out there a little help to make the connection...
and to make you geezers feel even geezier.
On a more personal level, I'm stoked that Spitfire is using their OG spiral logo more often these days... now they just need to put that classic "1" logo back in heavy rotation and I'm set. Those grey sweatshirts were sick!
big up to Alyasha. TRANSFORM!

Something is up with that Spitfire ad photo... Look at that wheelbase!
I'm stoked Spitfire is using that logo again too. I still have my long sleeve tee of the "1" logo but would buy a new one if they reprinted them. Make it happen Jim.
That new Blind ad does put things in perspective because to me Virtual Reality a new video. Any thing after '92 is new school to me. Haha
The plan b vid always seems a let down after the life and reason for living vids. Think the tech/switch skating took their toll. Great to see him back in the scene. Style is so much like natas's
So where exactly did young Sheffey go? There was that awesome part in Mouse (feat an ILL James Brown song) and then it seemed liked dude vanished. Always loved the graphics on his Girl boards tho..
Where did young sheffey go? Huh? And big Sheffield didn't get the boot from girl till way after mouse dropped. Whatcha talkin bout Willis?
One of the greats, his mouse part was way before its time. Thanks
I agree on the spiral design again. I think they sell the trucker hats still of the 1 logo.
I wonder when we're gonna see some new Sheffey footage....
His Mouse part was the start of his demise... Not ahead of its time! His prime was like '89 to '93. One of he best for sure though...
Legend! Seeing him in the flesh was intense, he'd always surprise you with something unexpected and gnarly.
He went to a lot of comps and demos after Mouse, remember that switch flip at Slam City Jam? BOOM!
The OG spiral Spitfire logo is great for sure, I just wish Spitfires were still Spitfires...
Sheffey is a one of a kind legend for sure. His Questionable part is one of my favorites ever. Huge dude with huge pop.
I agree with Superfan on the videos, Everything after Video Days is new and everything before is old, and everything was ABD after Falling Down, thanks to Koston. Ha!
Probably my favorite skater ever.
I can't say how ill that fakie ollie over the picnic table in "A Soldiers' Story" is. Such a simple trick, but on that huge board...awesome.
Power.
I like this follow-up post to yesterdays via the Greg Hunt road trip story.
Those big white risers in the bubble pivot pic. crazy! I don't think we got risers like that in my town back then. Only weird ones were cell block 3's.
That interview reads kinda weird.
So stoked I got to roll with him at the S.M. courthouse in the (just-after) post-Mouse days.
I think I've posed this question before...did I hallucinate a no-comply to boardslide down a rail waaaaaay back in the day?
"Skating....just....skating."
His Girl ad with the switch flip down the stairs at what I think was the San Diego Arena is quite memorable to me. So dope.
I always tried to get my jeans to roll up the way he had his, but I could never pull it off.
Ever since moving to SD I've been on the look out for Sheffey. Big influence on what i saw as "skateable."
So finally after 10 years of waiting I was inside the Acehardware store Downtown (2 months ago) having one of the worst days in retail/customer service, low and behold Sheffey rolled by the front doors.
I ran out and yelled, "Sheffey!" like i was 15 years old at a demo. He was startled but shook my hand and all i could say was it was great to see him on the board again.
bonus: after sheffey rolled up Steven Cales came up from behind and gave a dap too. :) I glowed the rest of my shift and told the younger guys who he was and IS.
He changed skateboarding and my own perspective. Thanks Sean Sheffey & Steven Cales!
Great post chops!!!! GREAT!
