#774: distance equals rate times time

***

Last time I did a post on this guy, he tweeted about it and CBI wound up on People Magazine's website.

Nobody will ever be able to do as much for skateboarding on the scale that Tony Hawk has.

This concludes Bones Brigade Week on the Chrome Ball Incident.

Thanks guys. Have a good weekend.

my first board was a white tony hawk, with indy 169's and sims 2-tone b-52's. looking back it was an awfully large set up for a kid barely 5 foot tall and probably 90 lbs. you always remember your firsts.

sad to see this week come to a close. it was fun reliving the bones brigade days. very nostalgic times for me as i'm sure for others too. well done chops!

he should be in the dictionary next to the word innovation. all that stuff at delmar in the first 2 bones videos and the "how they fly" section in FP? little tooth pick kid, figuring out he can/has to ollie into airs. the backside ollie, six feet out. the front five, and that air to fakie. no one elses skating looked anything like his.

I always remember his tracker adds and they I try to figure out which trucks sucked more. Trackers or Gullwings. I remember tracker making a floating axle truck and Gullwing made one out of some plastic substance that could grind anything but wear out in a few weeks.

two things:

- that lien grab n grind on the thrasher cover is rad, until you notice that he's rocking a tracker coper on his back truck. okay, it's still rad.

- tony hawk is the one powell bones brigade dude who seemed like a dork or a kook back in the day, but ive gained more and more respect for him as time goes by. sure, he sold out to some extent, but he's tony fucking hawk. to not follow that path would have been even more foolish.

- also, he smokes a lot of weed and apparently cant keep his dick in his pants as he's on at least his third wife. go tony.

1st board was a white Hawk claw, full size with generic trucks and crossbones. I remember when i was a kid always wishing that I could go skate at his house in fallbrook. Recently saw that house sold for like $350,000. How cool would it be to buy that place and rebuild all those ramps? Pipe dreams, but whatever. Got any other photos of that house/ramp complex?

Bony Cock lol That BB interview was unexpected when it first came out.

Isn't that varial mctwist called a night mayer? Named after Danny Mayer? Or is that a body varial mctwist?

Tony Hawk's style has gotten much better over the years.

He looks so out of place on that handrail!

No Rodney?

Yes, Rodney's exclusion must indeed have upset his legion of personal filmers who post here.

Sorry Brendan, I just did a Rodney post not too long ago and was honestly just feeling the Chin 5 this time.

And anonymous, your comment earned the high score today.
