chrome ball incident #742: uzi does it

"Did we order two pizzas last night and smoke Macaulay Culkin's arm?"
"Yes."

mostly toy-era bangers from the skate mental magnate himself, mr. brad staba.

think i've brought this up before but that next to last scan with the ollie flick is about a mile from the chrome ball offices and was definitely no joke.

is it weird that I miss Savier?

and I totally forgot about Brad riding for Enjoi. While Bag of Suck is a personal favorite of mine, if you sit back and think about the line-up that was almost in that video, it kinda hurts your head.

special thanks to the king of the comments page, keith. couldn't do this site without you, homie.

It's not weird that you miss Savier, I do too. Best skate shoes that ever graced my feet. Shame Nike didn't use any of their ideas after buying them out. Nice up chops.

It's interesting to see which guys out of a certain group hang up the towel seemingly early. Gavin with the girl dudes and Staba with BA. Apparently Gavin fell off due to the switch game. Not sure about Staba. Wonder who the surprise will be in the next gen. Wonder if it can be predicted.

Puleo and Staba would of made bag of suck even better. Anyone have a scan or post of the Enjoi add that I believe was the first add they did? It listed the team at the time which I believe may of had Chris Dobstaff on there... Staba is killing it with Skate Mental right now.

Just used my Savier BA backpack this past weekend, that company had some amazing ass designs. Still got a pair of Tim O'Connor Brazilian color schemed shoes that were limited. Probly worth $0.

Saw Staba at a My Bloody Valentine concert in SF a couple years back. Does he still skate? Those videos brought back some good memories of him. Always will remember that Duffs ad of him salad grinding the jersey barrier spot in SF. Killed it.

Was always stoked on his 411 Wheels of Fortune. "I like to skateboard a lot". I might be jumping to conclusions but Brad seems to me the classic slightly-odd kid who finds their peace in skateboarding.

Without slightly odd kids, skateboarding wouldn't be what it is.

Staba suffers from a serious case of O'Connor syndrome in that he fervently believes that everything that comes out of his cake hole is comedy gold.

I've always liked this guy but always wondered if it's an act or if he's really that strange.
I do like that he's so underground these days.

He still skates and rips,he's busy running skate mental these days.

Hope to see a full part in the upcoming Skate Mental romantic comedy. When's that suppose to come out anyway? I was bummed that Ruby never put out a skate vid.

I knew that guy when he was 14-15 back in Ohio. He was a total asswipe who thought very highly of himself. Obviously things haven't changed.

While I have a little problem with his haircut, I totally dig mr. Staba skating.
No big deal, then.
I luv the shot of the kinked rail at night.
It reminds me of the early TWS shots.

That savier shoe was so sick, way ahead of its time. Skated with brad at Berkeley park a few weeks back, he barely skated but him just being around the session gets me stoked
