chrome ball incident #692: bring the pain

"Just skate and have fun... Oh yeah, and everyone can slow down on the ollie grabs on street."

Pretty damn hard to think of any other pro having half the swagger Reemo did.

Miss seeing this dude skate.

Nice post, Chops. Reem was always one of my favorite skaters. Sometimes I catch myself revisiting the old pro spotlight he did in transworld with the crooks on the picnic table on the cover. Always had a ton of style.

Axion - woooooo - that was a sick team when it started with Kareem, Gino, and Guy. I used to geek out over there shoes. Wish they still made the islander and the marianos. Those were the best.

Sad his companies never made it like they should have (even more, I seem to recall Kareem getting a raw deal with Duffs and the KCK1s too). City Stars reminded me of what Pilot Light was saying about Lakai over on boil the ocean - basically a farm team for bigger, more powerful companies (See, e.g., Devine Calloway, Mikey Taylor, Spanky, P-Rod, and whoever else I'm forgetting.

Anyway, good to see a tight Kareem post. Never saw the switch f/s noseslide.

Awesome skater with a great style - a definite favorite of mine - agree 100% with Dave's comment. Great post again bro.

Picanic table switch backside flip is mind-blowing.

Best style ever, it's a shame things never worked out on the business side of things for him. I can't believe he got snaked out of Axion.

How about that line he did where he checks his pager in the middle of it...can't remember what video it's in, maybe 20 Shot?
Now that's gangster.

Dude had one of the most unique styles ever and was smooth enough to pull Rosie Perez's digits.

I forgot how bad that Wet Will and Flameboy shit was. Kareem definitely did things his own way.

So many companies seemed to be farm teams for talent... I used to refer to them as stepping stone companies. Like H-St and Powell when they lost their powerhouse status, Real in the early 90's, Maple etc.
