#675: chrome ball in mono

"It’s just hard for me to deal with the fact that there are no more crews anymore. There are no more name spots that you go to... skateboarding has kinda lost its life."

Special thanks to the 'Tap.

Be back on Friday. Behind on shit.

I first encountered Kalis at a spot in downtown Chicago back around when Timecode was released. He broke his kingpin on his front truck after about 10 minutes or so, and he was like “aw, session over”. But he then proceeded to kill it with only a back truck, essential skating in a constant manual. Blew my mind. I remember thinking "Fuck this guy is no joke". He was always cool and down to Earth. Kicked it with everybody. I've got nothing but respect for this guy.

Kalis and Biebel the biggest "wiggers" in the skateboard business.

sw bs tail in cargo sweat pants!

Thumbs up cover is awesome!

sw bs heel over the Brooklyn Bank was is amazing.

Why is one of the pics entitled showingoffagain.jpg

Always like that tws cover with the Guy and Koston interviews. I'm not even sure where he's going in that pic. Posturing looks like a bs 180 over the bar and into whatever is on the other side that we can't see?

I still like Kalis better on Alien. Always will.

I think Kareem was the only dude who didn't look like an idiot in those Droors ads. Cairo Foster, years later, may have been the worst. And Kalis isn't much of a model, either.

Keith: I desperately wanted DC cargo track pants after I saw Kalis—and anyone else with even a faint connection to Droors or DC, Bill Weiss included—wearing them at a contest in Montreal. Cargo sweat pants were similarly amazing.

Kalis is always a winner.

And a true skate rat - those are real ones.

Kalis is definitely one of my all-time favourites, for sure.

That TWS cover has to be one of my favourites too, pure class.

Keep up the good work!!!

So much love for this guy, style for miles and the best switch heels. I remember for a while thinking, how rad a backside nollie bigspin nosebluntslide would be...and then Kalis goes and drops TWO in his Mind Field part!
