chrome ball incident #618: burgertime
combo post tonight featuring two o.g. chocolatey ams gone m.i.a., burger boy ben sanchez and shamil randle.
I was always a fan of Ben's Mouse part but I honestly don't remember Shamil's New World Order part being this bangin' (:27).

yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah. two of my all time faves. shamil's line in love child. fucking powerful. ben always had mega class and never seem to less than mach 5. dudes lines were just awesome to me. again not enough video out there.
The photo of Shamil's hardflip across the ledges in SF is sick. Although it looks like it might be an inward heel. Where are these dudes?
I agree that the "hardflip" looks like an inward heel. Maybe they mean that inward heels are really hard? Are we cool if I say that Shamil's outfit in that photo is amazing? You pretty much can't get that colour jean any more. And that t-shirt, shit.
Tully.
i remember when learning inward heels, they where called bs hardflips. 1991-2ish
There was (somewhat recent) clip of "Burger" Ben Sanchez doing a three flip or a kickflip. Dude had a serious dad belly! Can't hate though. When you ease off the skatin' and pick up on the smoking/drankin/kickin' it your belly GROOOOOOOOOOWS.
When you ease away from skateboarding, pick up cycling. Cop a track bike or a single speed or a fixie. Don't be that cat who rolls up wearing an old Droors hoodie that's stretched to infinity cuz your massive gut is in the way!
Jus playin...
Shit, I was just about to ask about Burger Boy the other day. It's like you're reading my mind. His part in Mouse was always so underrated. Very few were skating so fast back then. Kid was at mach 5. Wonder what happened to him?
ain't no one to this day who has shit on shamil's switch b/s 360. some of eli reed's come close, but the first one is still the gold standard.
and i've always loved that really powerfl shifty nollie over that gap in ben's mouse part, edited just right to the horn blasts.
And Shamil? I have not heard about them since those gold days..they represented the street skateboarding which has been much difficult to find at current skateboarder today. I loved watching to their parts..mouse..goldfish..miss that much..it was an eager to go before session...who remember Gabriel Rodrigues??? Another sick stylish..Girl and Chocolate had a gold crew that time...
Never was much of a Ben Sanchez fan but was always stoked on Shamil! sw bs 360 ollie's super hard to do.
