chrome ball incident #580: lets go get cokes

"Be positive and have an open mind. Don't cut yourself short. Try to experience everything in skateboarding" -Steve Caballero

Dude is incapable of taking a bad photo.

And the collector of Cab's locks in the scan up top: Lance Mountain

Chrome Ball will return on Thursday.

(Sorry guys, fell behind on a few things.)

Oh man, thought this was going to be an Alex Chalmers post. Which probably would have been surprisingly cool now that I think of it.

Just because we couldn't see the other page, who saved Cab's hair?

haha, not a bad idea smorales.

Plat, sorry about that. should've made that clearer. Its Lance.

I'm gonna make a stencil of just him floating in that airwalk photo. Look for it around...

Cab is easily and hands down my favorite skater of all time. When Action Now (the old Skateboarder after they sold out to BMX and Surfing) did the centerfold of him doing the Caballerial in the pool, that was in my locker in high school--yeah--I was popular back then---NOT--lol.

Croupier--would love to see that stencil when it's good to go...I'd throw one on my liquor store cruiser board for sure...heck, that board's so big I might be able to do a life-sized Cab on it---lol.

Chops--awesome post as usual!

I like the fs nosebone over the hip as well. Thanks stephen for the correct semantics on the name of the trick lol. I would have called it a bones fs indy lol

yeah anon, thats what i'm sayin. i've never seen that fs grind(?) on that brick wall. wonder if there's a sequence? you think it's a make? that shit is INSANE. dude was never my favourite but hands down old school atv ripper for sure. with great style to boot. i don't remember him or lance getting bitter over the streetskating take over either. those fuckers hit the streets and got tricks. shared part in public domain i think...? great post man.

Frontside on the brick wall: Proof that good skating and good photography have an embodied energy that gets released everytime we look at them. It never runs out.

r. dahl: Ive never seen a sequence of the brick grind, as for a make, well I hope so. He surely is a "ATV ripper" Anyone have a link to his new street footage? It is from maybe 2009-2010, he boardslides that really long square guard rail in maybe nyc? I only saw it once online. I love the fact that he is not only part of the most legendary company but he is also down with Tiltmode.

Dang, I forgot about Chalmers and his coke obsession. Wonder if he's still like that...

Steve Caballero with the shoes man! Nikes, Vans, Chucks in three colors- homie was on it.

i had a black mini-pig cab with gull wings and powell threes as my very first legit board. it ruled.

The grind on the brick wall is bonkers. I feel uneasy just looking at it. Nosebone over the hip is classic. Peep this vid of 20 years of Barbee. This post made me think of it.

Yeah, the grind on that brick wall is soooo sick. Killer style holmes.

It is true, that Cab is incapable of taking a bad photo. My favorite for sure until I got hooked on Gonz and Natas. All the pros on the Bones Brigade tried their best to hang with the street sk8ing, except McGill that is.
He's definitely on my all time favorite list. Gonz, Natas, Sheffey, Stranger, and Hensley as well.
