chrome ball incident #572: over the horizon radar
does not like contests
does not like demos
likes to skate with friends
the majority of these flicks are almost 20 years old... and still hold up today.
i suppose the danger of being so far ahead of the curve is that one can go wander off the path.
a truly amazing and progressive skateboarder, paulo diaz.
p.s. the impossible over the barrier is from 2001... not bad.

Just saw him skating down the street yesterday... He's still at it.
YES! 1UP!
Thanks so much for this. Las Nueve Vidas De Paco was a favorite. This part and much of what I saw Paulo doing opened my eyes to a different and completely innovative approach to skating. Still very relevant, anyone can learn a lot from this style.
yes!!! Paulo!! being this creative can be destructive. i heard he was on some sum hard drugs hopefully hes clean now. thats cool hes still rippin. the NOLLIE KING!!!!
After watching Paulo I skated that much switch and nollie that I forgot all my regular tricks.
Top 5 for sure (for me at least)
I love the that virtually all of his coverage took place in LA.
I swear you can always spot an old spike photo from a mile away. That noseblunt is perfect and any thing Paulo does leaves me scratching my head.
lol
That one Powell part he had after Guy, Rudy and Gabe had left...
"Hi I'm Paulo... and these are all my skateboard friends"
And they even talked about it in the Guy Epicly Laterd. So sick.
Must be nice to have that kind of nollie pop. On that nollie nose slide on the rail... look how high on the rail he's getting on. pretty crazy. You can cheat quite a bit on a rail by not popping as high and getting on further down but he's definitely not.
Ollie over the garbage with the little lady is a great photo too.
Super post.
That switch oliie is unbelievable.
haha, just remembered over-dubbing the sound track to Paulo's Chocolate section with Wu Tang. I'm a dumbarse
some treats here. cheers man!
Propaganda was the first real skate video I bought. I had some video called Skateboard Crazy before that my mom got at the grocery store or something. I really like Paolo's part in that video. All black & white. Skating with his friends. It just seemed really relatable. Even though the tricks were out of this world.
man, that switch ollie is just amazing!
Best...Nollies.....Ever! Styles for miles. There is no mistaking Paulo for anyone else in a video, except maybe Mike Daher.
Paulo should have been on the first incarnation of Blind.
Imagine the first Blind video if Paulo Diaz had a part. Better yet, the first blind video with parts from Diaz, Stranger, and Sheffey. That would be so sick.
