chrome ball incident #526: moment by moment
starting off the week with some positive vibes courtesy of mr. ray barbee.
always good to see ray out there doing his thing, on and off the board.
forgot all about that banana rip-grip joint... had one of those on my Natas mini Blacktop series back in the day. Loved that board.
that 180 ollie blast kills it.

Influenced by his non compliance still til this day! Respect.
the master of the step hop, heel over the trash can is classic
way stoked on this.
met ray in tampa a few years back. super nice. super appreciative.
thank you for doing this.
It looks like on that ollie blast the photographer didn't expect Ray to blast off, and he nearly lost the top half of Ray out of the frame. For some reason this makes the picture better, when you think about what's going into it. That little launch looks so nuts.
Thanks again Chops, again and again!
Classic. Skating needs more Ray Barbee's. Style and a good attitude.
Is that curb chipping away in that nosegrind picture.
Ray's best song

Ray has always been one of the most stylish skaters out there, even since his early days - awesome to see he's still going at it!
So smooth and stylish. To me, definitely one of the top guys in those Public Domain and Ban This years!
Skateboarding needs more Ray Barbee like skaters.
Rad, how old is that 2nd picture of him doing a blunt, rocking the Rat Bones?
when I saw Ray skating in Public Domain for the first time in my life, I knew I would be skateboarding for life.
Thank you Ray...and Chops.
Met Ray back in 89 at a demo in Denver in the Bones Brigade era. He had a broken wrist at the time so spent most of the time just chatting to everyone. Both him and lance are super nice people.. glad to see lance finally getting some props... but do miss the early firm era. What ever happened to the grubers...
PS Thanks for doing this blog, so good... especially the lotti interview the other week!
thanks guys. appreciate it.
anonymous 3, yes it is. so damn good.
isapien, '88... i think
