chrome ball incident #519: jazz push

No matter how many amazing photographs or crazy helicopter shoots this guy does, nothing is ever gonna top his full-on barge through Burger King in my book. So rad.

The ultra-stylish, multi-talented Greg Hunt.

Yes! Awesome post, Chops! I spent a lot of time with Greg in his first apartment here in SF. Skating and hanging out with Greg was always a good time. Late night sessions at the library and all through downtown. Always solid and always stylish. San Francisco was such fertile ground for creativity on a skateboard at that time. People were going all sorts of directions, but there was definitely an emphasis on looking good on your skateboard. I think Greg soaked it up as much as anyone around at the time. And walking away from skateboarding the way he did, without looking back or trying to milk it...well, if you knew Greg at all, you would know he'd never do that. Can integrity come through on a skateboard? I don't know that anyone's ever used integrity to describe what they thought of when they watched someone skate. But again, if you knew Greg at all, you can see how it fit just perfectly.

P.S. Mindfield was brilliant!!!

I've always thought he looked like Chunk from the Goonies in that Venture ad. Just in the face though, the rest of him is stylish as hell.

Has he made the best post-pro transition out there? Underrated pro to masterful photographer and cinematographer. Who else can hold a match? Jaya Bonderov? Ed T. doesn't count because he's still sorta milking it and has the daily aches of running Toy Machine to deal with. Maybe Tommy G (though I don't enjoy his music as much as I enjoy Hunt's photos)?

sorry for rambling.

Sick nollie noseslide sequence! Forgot about that one.
What happened to Jaya Bonderov?

Thanks for this one Chops! Greg quickly fell into my "best dudes in the world" category when I was an artfag at DLX. Definitely an honor to have lorded his first Stereo pro graphic through production up there. Ripping skater, amazing visual creative, and purely a solid human being. I ran across him on a Riverside pool mission recently and he is as cool as he ever was and then some. Absolute respect!

question about those old union square park benches. for heads to have done the tricks on them that they did they gotta be metal painted green, but in footage they look they wood or something. whats up

I always liked this dude's skating. Thought he was the most don't give a fuck dude for rolling through that bk, in my younger days.
