chrome ball incident #346: nights in white satin
After almost twenty-years, I still can't wrap my head around this dude... and I kind of want to keep it that way.
Where epic meets enigmatic, Heath Kirchart.

i never did, like or gonna like this skater.
sorry for the hate.
Consistently responsible for some of my favorite early 90s parts of all time. Especially in Foundation videos. His part in Super Conductor/Super Collider = phenomenal. Or Rolling Thunder - ps,anyone know the name of the song he skates to in that video?
Can anyone please explain why he and Berra always quit/join teams together
whoa, heath hate is unheard of. I could have sworn I saw that huge gap off the side of the freeway in socal a few years ago, now I have a little confirmation.
What's up with that last 50-50. They just flip the image? That's the one he eats it on right?
good call smorales. I didn't catch that reverse of the image.
I think Heath's pretty awesome. BatG was great.
His part in Rolling Thunder was my favorite for a long time. I think I even copied his hair I liked it so much.
I have a buddy who still seems to be influenced by his hair.
I remember looking at the alien ad a bunch being confused about his stance. Wonder if it was just an oversight. or maybe they were going for the shock value.
In regard to the last ad, I thought maybe they reversed it to work with the graphic and design of the ad. Just speculation, though.
That kickflip sequence is gnarly. It reminds me of a Deluxe demo in Atlanta. There was a jump ramp to jump ramp set up, and Joey Bast was doing the sickest flip tricks over it- high, caught clean, and smooth. I was like, Whoa! This guy is sick! Somehow, it never translated to his video parts, though.
anonymous, care to give any reasons why?
k, i asked the all-knowing mr seb if he has our answer for the rolling thunder mystery tune... I've always wondered that myself. I'll keep you posted.
good call, smorales. i didn't catch it either. still don't understand why they flipped it though...
keith, BatB is awesome. They buy crack in my hometown. Hooray Pittsburgh!
thanks everyone.
GARLY DUDE!
*GNARLY DUDE
kinda lost interest in his skating during 'the end'-period, but early/mid '90s and recent heath are absolute pleasures.
an added bonus of this post is that TWS he has the cover of was my first skate mag.
