1) o.g. sick boy with a taste for huge ollies, harsh one-foots and really goofy-looking pants, ron allen is 100% heart and still rips today. dude has always done his own thing and deserves pounds of respect.
2) has anyone else ever done an ollie airwalk to boardslide on a handrail?
3) no joke, i saw him at a Life demo back in the day where he complained about the quality of air the whole time and even asked some of my friends if we "ever worried about the smog?"
we were 12-years-old... the answer was no.

Yes! Tony Cervantes does one in a Zero part! So legit. Love the blog, holmes!
This made me really miss my high-top and Starter jacket days.
gotta love the Limpies logo
weird. when you put up hensley i had a premonition you were going to post about ron allen.
super sick, he was. still is actually. that video part is great; first time i've seen it.
i really wish i had skated in the late 80s/ early 90s instead of today.
i'm ron allen's father!!!
best video quote ever. almost as good as sean sheffey's whole thing about skating rocks.
hell yeah Ron allen is awesome!!!!
The first several H-Street boards I ever saw were Ron Allen models that some of the older guys had gotten their hands on.
I also remember around that time, before people were waxing curbs, they were waxing their boards. At least that's the way it was in my area.
I saw Ron Allen do a head-high ollie off of the pyramid bank at the Berkeley park a few years ago. 42 years old and doing 7 foot high ollies is no joke.
step thru flat bottom broken ankle. frontside air to picket fence. the best layback rollouts ever. and can ollie a little
