chrome ball incident #230: essays on BOBism

"I like that those guys are quiet with their skating; they kind of creep up on you. They don't push their skating on you; they just do their thing." -Bobby Puleo

One of my all-time favorite skaters... always so fresh and entertaining. And that elbow/chicken wing steez never gets old.

Whoa!

On a completely-unrelated note, I'd like to send a special thanks to everyone over there at the Berrics massive for doing such an incredible job. History.

And big-up once again to the TMA.

what's the kenny reed quote? "I like Bobby Puleo's fakie ollies because they are postmodern"? Pretty on point.

That's Kenny Reed being really pretentious.

Also, I've never seen video of Bobby; he sort of skates like Poncho Moler. I like his photos much more.

bobby puelo skates nothing like hector the ho protector (pancho moler) who is one of my best buds. once again chromeball an amazing post.

yeah he get's love from all the slap heads but he still seems so underrated to me. his 411, Ftc, and Infms parts are all classic. needs to work on his left though.

Wanna know why NY/NJ skaters kill it? Cuz they're ridiculously creative. Remember Puleo's part in Five Flavors? Or even better his part in FTC 2. Ugh!!

I'm moved by the post (or most bobby posts for that matter) enough to want to leave a comment, but haven't got much to say besides:

the bob's fury video made me pretty uncomfortable.

There's so many great legendary personalities in skateboarding that picking favorites gets super tough, but this guy is definitely up there.

content lately has been top notch, with the reason stuff and everything. I'm pretty sure the noseslide photo in the adrenaline ad a ways down is at a school here in town, and is way tougher than it looks. It's pretty cliche to talk about spots and tricks being harder than they look at this point, right...
