chrome ball incident #176: jacked

in the early 90's, dude was unstoppable and could easily hold his own with many that are considered legends today. specifically, i feel his rubbish heap part is amazing and that its importance is often overlooked.... ducktales video game music and all.

here is his incredible transworld interview from '91 with some equally-as-incredible flicks from spike in there to boot.

so stoked on so much these days

note: i stuck that bp ad on the end of that interview cause i had two extra interview columns left over and didn't want two flimsy text columns just kinda floating there. the interview is '91, ad is '92. sorry for any confusion.

honestly he was one of my favorite skaters in the early 90's. However his part in transworld's uno forever changed my impression of him. It was just such a bad video part not too mention that his style did not carry over to the skinnier boards.

That Rubbish Heap part was so good. Back then, there were rumours that he was a super stress case and that bs smith on the rail took forever and he cried and shit. As far as I'm concerned, that was his best and only good video part ever. Klein was the super star of that video. Everything else after that, I didn't care for.

That interview was 91? It reads like he's on World but that last ad in the interview is a Birdhouse ad. That first Birdhouse logo that is the same rightside up and upside down.

Wow totally forgot about the Klein interview - more of those TWS interviews please - Carroll would be great. Good job again 10 out of 10.

yeah keith, i plucked that first klein bp ad and stuck it in there cause i had two extra columns left over from that interview and didn't just want two columns floating out there in space. sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for posting this. I was missing a few pages from that issue 'cause I hung the kickflip melon poster on my wall.

his rubbish heap part is still one of my favorites. and just for the music alone, his parts in ravers and untitled are guilty pleasures.

The best thing that ever came out of Hook Ups was that Gonz had about a minute long part in that Destroying America (?) video

that's for clearing that up about the Birdhouse ad.

Regardless, I was over that fool long before that interview was out.

didn't he go to work for a video game company of something? maybe I'm high but I swear I remember him saying he was a game tester or some shit.
