chrome ball incident #71: supergolden sunchild
there's only a precious few photos of this guy but i didn't see these up anywhere.
going back to my last post, i've heard from various sources that Matt Reason resides here in Pittsburgh suffering from some sort of medical condition (i'm actually launching a full-scale investigation into this case as we speak) but whatever happened to Lennie Kirk? rumors range everywhere from him becoming a missionary (seems too obvious) to him serving a bid after becoming one of the most notorious stick-up kids in SF... anybody know?

i heard missionary then went off the rails with the booze and weed again then ended up back in america.
Last thing i saw was the stuff on the third ftc video. which to be honest wasnt lennie at his best.
I think he went to jail for a while, he actually had a couple of tricks on 48blocks a while ago.

matt reason had an interview in skateboarder recently. he's married with a kid and has his own landscaping business.
wow, thanks guys.
hans, i must've missed that one... did he give any reason for why he dropped out of the scene so abruptly?
sometimes i see scott yamamura (sp?) around (well, not that often, but i'll keep my eyes open) and i think scott rode for manna, so i could ask about lenny. who knows if scott knows anything though.
lenny kirk was always one of my favorites.
i'd have to track that issue down, but if i remember correctly, it was just one of those things where the industry was changing and he just felt like it was time to bow out.
Lenny Kirk's first ad doing a switch flip bs 5-0 on a ledge over a 3 stair for Change Skateboards. That was pretty crazy. Weiss was so stoked to have him on Change. Lenny Kirk's got that out of control style where it looks like it's either make it or break it.
Lenny was always fucked up in the head so when he went on the Christian trip and got in everyone's face with it....people didn't want to hear it. He had a little more control over his skating originally but he just got really wild with it and had other interests that led him away from skating.
damn... if that really is who i think it is, i'm thinking Drake knows firsthand about the Reverend.
If it is... propers. Been down as a grommet since the Ride Free days.
Lennie Kirk is still #1.
Great finds!
There is one sequence that I was hoping you had of Lennie Kirk doing a backside Losi grind revert on the top of a large LA schoolyard picnic table...I think it was in a Transworld.
I looked at all 3 of your LK posts.
This is a rare one indeed...are you familiar with this sequence?
