if i remember correctly, i think he grabbed the rail with one hand and his board with the other and dropped back into that quarterpipe fakie. i vaguely remember seeing it in that ohio skateout vid somewhere though... unless i imagined this solution in 1989 and adopted it as fact in my mind over the almost 2 decades since...
