chrome ball incident #316: adventures close to home

Quick update with Transworld's 95 spotlight on one of the decade's most slept-on... Coolio fan and friend of Chrome Ball: Mr Eric Ricks.

That double-set backside flip is ill.

chrome ball incident #315: aw-toe-mo-beel

I tried to vary up the trick selection at first...

but about halfway through I kinda just said "fuck it, it's Donger."

Armed with the biggest pop in skateboarding as well as one of its most fucked-up nicknames, Kien Lieu.

The braids are cool but I always kinda preferred that high-top he used to rock.

Glad I could sneak in some JTMR in there. (sorry, image taken down)

Someone tell me why people do this?

Jovontae's take.

chrome ball incident #314: a devil among the tailors

been wanting to do this one for a while: for the old(er) heads out there, O.G. east coast ripper Tom Groholski.

straight outta Jersey, 100% soul.

on an unrelated note, I had a few people asking me who my pick was for the Battle at the Berrics 2...

well, my man's got enough consistency and weird early-90's tricks to win it all if that injury (or p-rod) doesn't take him out. so far so good.

p.s. take care kathleen.

chrome ball incident #313: 8 steps to perfection

you know how you have those favorite video parts where sometimes at the beginning of it you secretly imagine that its your name that pops up and that the dude on the screen is actually you that is so good, doing all that crazy shit...

just sayin'.

alright chrome ballers, i'm out next week. Going here for this... among other distractions.

happy birthday to my lady, miss tara (aka "peel").

bye.

chrome ball incident #312: green onions

one of my all-time faves... a true legend (20 years deep) that got there by simply being himself, regardless of fashion, money, or popular opinion.

Ed is the best.

chrome ball incident #311: animal farm

thought I'd go with a little classic-era Mike V for tonight's post.

regardless of how you feel about dude today, his influence and contribution are without question.

...and back in the day, holmes was bulletproof.

(a special tip-of-the-hat to our friends over at Stereo. hello fellas.)
