chrome ball incident #732: uptown top ranking

"That's where the power was. Even though (Rocco) wasn't making lots of money at the time. it just seemed like the source. Kinda like how Huf is right now." -Mark Gonzales

Figured I'd start the week off right with one of my all-time favorites, Mr. Keith Hufnagel. Class act.

Congrats to Skin and the TWS crew on an amazing 30th Anniversary special issue.

...and speaking of TWS, be sure to check out the online portfolio that O.G. skate nerd Mackenzie Eisenhour has recently started piecing together.A big influence on chrome ball, there's already plenty of great stuff posted.

No way! the boardslide up spot, Palmerston North Girls High, Palmerston North, New Zealand. I found it in 1990. Beer o clock to celebrate.

yeah, that dead ippie site is really cool, just one problem, the pictures are way too small.

Huf's always a great pick, so much power and grace.

to anonymous...thanks for the feedback. still a work in progress. for large images you can click on the "VIEW ORIGINAL FILE SIZE" button... hope that helps. also, huf is rad!

The first photo is the best.

I like young huf with those funny condom-style tuques like in the first photo.

It's awesome how timeless basic tricks like a big ass ollie can be. I think that 50-50 stall looks kinda odd with the tilted angle that makes the bank look steeper.

And what is that Gonz quote referring to?

hey Mackenzie, even when i clicl the images to get them amplified they are still too small, i cant read the words.

peace!

huh. i should probably check in some other browsers. the "VIEW ORIGINAL SIZE..." button should open it in a new window. then it gives you that magnifying glass icon and if you click again it's XL size. i'm no web design genius though so i might be doing something wrong. thanks again for the feeback. probably helps if you can read it!

^ full sizing it does blow it up quite a bit but 2-pagers in a single jpeg is a bit tough to read (the drug scans, for instance).

The templates in blogger/wordpress or I guess in this case squarespace tend to limit the max size, which usually makes 2-pagers tough to read.

yeah, that is really hard to read!

Word. Thanks. Yeah, I had just looked at the drugs one and realized the OG jpegs could be bigger. Gonna rescan and upload bigger spreads. Cheers..
