The story about Woody Harrelson is probably the raddest thing I've ever heard.

Great stuff, as always. Thank you Chops.

Kalis does a line in Timecode with a noseblunt to fakie and then switch flip back tail right after. so good. One of my favorite spots for footage. Has alot to do with the people who skated there regularly.

the thing about pier 7 is that it's so simple. A few stairs, and planter ledge boxes, yet cities can't see that, and just build a replica. Instead, they put in high/low rails, wavy hump ramps and brushed rough concrete...
oh yeah, awesome post too!

sick post, chops. if you did a big post of a bunch of 15 things articles that'd be pretty cool too. they're probably my favorite part of Skateboarder and yet i've never subscribed.

Also, some of the sickest lines were done in this spot.

Love the "spot" posts!
you should do Vancouver's new spot, although, it's probably mostly video.

i like the "spot" posts too. the watson flick is sick and i'm feelin marcus fuckn mcbride all day. just style to maximum. if it were the 80's i would say some shit like "bio" here. really pushing the physical limits. looks so sick if properly photographed.

Did a K-grind shuvit @ Pier 7 back when I was like 17. Karl Watson clapped when I landed that shit. I was so swagged out it hurts. 11 years later I still remember that ish. My brother took a pic of it.

News for all DC heads.
*New skatpark @ 11th and Rhode Island in DC is gonna be done this spring. Concrete joint. I might could have to ease back from all the smokin' and drinkin' and kickin' it.

@ smorales... yes! that Kalis line was awesome. Quick set-ups.

Never got to skate pier 7. Welsh says in his quote that it has rough ground... it looks super smooth to me. Speaking of Welsh, I dig the fs nollie to blunt slide.

So many crazy manny tricks went down on those blocks.

I had heard from someone that when Mike York was in Van for one of the Slam City contests, he went to Ambelside park and commented how the ledges there were exactly like the pier ledges, which surprised me because the skatepark ones are short in length.
