kf over a full size hydrant way back then. crazy! Dude really was good during his early world days. Couldn't care less after that tws interview and then Birdhouse.
Jeremy Klein had an obsession w/anime that led to the creation of Hookups. Those boards were 100% dreadful. My friend had one and wanted to get rid of it. So he went to a bike shop called Freddy's and stuffed a brand new Mad Circle board into the leg of his pants and dipped out. Mind you, this was back when we rocked either wide jeans or the straight up baggy joints. Pre-X games, pre-Life of Ryan, skateboarding was some bad business. Nobody liked us, and we thrived on antagonizing everyone. OUr teachers, the cops, store owners, restaurant managers.
I was a big fan of him back in the day. Feel like he was never had the same style once the boards got skinnier. And that rollerskating think in Transworld Uno was just odd.
No joke. Rubbish Heap-era Klein was amazing... and then it became jokey Rollerblade parts, firecrackers, the same frontside footplants, 50 50s.... There's a clip online of him getting kicked off the Tom Green show. They were making random prank phone calls, which was harmless enough. But Klein was asking this woman- a complete stranger- if she liked it in the ass, and calling her a bitch. It wasn't funny, it was just being a dick. Even Tom Green was like, Dude... you have to leave.

This post inspired me to rewatch his and Heath Kirchart's part in The End. It had been a while! I still think it's pretty awesome.
But I agree... what a disappointment.

One of my all time favorites...
I used to skate that drive way bump and try to do my one footers like he does in that Thunder ad. lol.
You should see his part in the Liberty horror video. Hilarious.
Thanks Chops.
