a little carroll is never a bad idea.
honestly, i often wonder if EMB would've been as much the phenomenon if it wasn't for mike's questionable part blowing it up like it did. multiple songs, numerous cameos, countless firsts.... shit is truly epic (and without question still in my all-time top 3). some parts just seem to capture a moment in time perfectly and that clip is definitely one of them.
regardless... outside of gonz, i have a hard time thinking of a more-imitated icon than the young mc.
have a good weekend. i'm pooped.
stoked on this. thanks max.

Max's site is always a fun read, even as Motorcycle heavy as it gets, a slice of culture like that is NEVER a bad thing.
As far as Carroll goes, I LOVED his part in "Yeah Right" there's that one rail grind where he switched it up mid move that was effing mind blowing--he deserved every high five he got after that one!
Best ollie-norths in the business.
appreciate young MC more and more every year, always stays consistent and always looks super good on the board. i'd go as far as to say, he's got just as nice a front side flip as reynolds, i mean, he doesn't huck it like reynolds, but he's got a nice one. anybody remember that 4star commercial where he f/s flipped the library gap (sf) in slow motion and that outkast song was on? somebody needs to put that flick on youtube.
no problem.
yeah! MC's been one of my favourites in all categories for ages. Style, tricks, execution.

I always liked the article about the hands...
Carroll is amazing... few pros have managed to age in their careers as well as he has. Think about all the other guys from the EMB era and how few are left actually sustaining viable pro careers. Carroll's not only still on, but he's still fucking KILLING it.
Probably my favorite style in all skating... so smooth and fluid but with so much control. And I concur - always loved his ollie norths. But I can't think of any tricks of his I particularly dislike anyway.
Also, forgot to mention - that last shot is gorgeous. Don't remember ever seeing that one before... do you know who shot it?
I still have a MC Calvin & Hobbes macaroni and cheese H-Street sticker in the old sticker box.
Mike Carroll is definitely in my top 5 skaters ever, never put out anything less than impeccable and never will.
Jon Humphries shot the last one; MC just does things right, that's about it.
Please don't call them ollie norths. This trick was around before THPS.

Take it up with Kevin Thatcher. Ms. Pac Man was the last video game I ever played.
