one of the nicest pros I ever met, I remember being kinda shocked when this article came out.

hope Danny Sargent is still doing alright out there.

One of my faves. I always get siked to see Danny around town. I remember when Danny moved to SF sometime back in the late 80's early 90's. He moved out here with his buddy Shawn Martin and they both rode for Concrete Jungle at the time. Danny's one of those guys that you can't really appreciate his skating until you see him in person. Dude's so gnarly. Can skate anything and would pull shit off so sketchy that it seemed like a miracle when he'd make things. But then you realize that he's always making shit like that so it's definitely not luck. They recently opened up a new skatepark here in SF and Danny broke his arm on opening day. I think there were like 8 trips to the emergency room that day. You gotta love concrete.

Shawn Martin lived or at least was hanging around Eugene in 86,87,88 then disappeared south and suddenly was in a thrasher edition on a half pipe pulling a sick mellanchollie. didnt look junked out with danny back then. Maybe the dope came later? Poison Idea, Nirvana, portland was pretty fucking fun back then surprised I survived. Sounds like they made it as well. Guske
