#173: this is chrome ball... you may not know him now but you will someday.

back in the day, this dude and ocean were like the tag team champions of the universe. fuck these guys.

markus wyndham. so ill. i hear he's a teacher now. maybe he could get one of his students to post up a better encoded version of his classic risk it segment. too good of a part for that kind of treatment.

...and since we're on the subject, could those eclipse tracks finally get a proper release?

on a personal note... I gotta wish a happy birthday to my man Murray, the real brains behind this operation.

SICK POST!! COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT MARK!!!

crazy post. The end of Hockus Pockus was pretty insane. Those pop shoves to grind on that little handrail... never ever heard of him before.

The sequence (in an ad) of his last trick in cats cradle on berrel(sp?) bank looked so crazy. Foot on the nose, no foot on the tail and just jamming up that steep ass bank. Dude loves his heel flip variations.

always loved his choice in airwalks

Wyndham killed it. Loved his parts.

Markus looked like such a natural on his skateboard. Remember the vision ad of gator boardsliding that rail from hockus?

This could be the unofficial mirko magnum chrome ball post. I totally forgot about that guy.

thanks guys.

pizzy, you should check out steve berra's mumble minutes podcast over at mumble magazine. he tells a funny story about that very ad.

and yeah, i forgot about ol' mirko myself. wonder whatever happened to that dude...

i think mirko is a sales rep for one of the skate companies.

mirko, we know you look at chrome ball. what's been going on>

Mirko is a manager for Black Box which is the distributor for Zero/Mystery/Slave/Fallen.

I found an article for my
woodshop blog post and he talks about their boards being made in Mexico.

fairways and flips coming through once again.

glad to see mirko's still out there doing his thing. i always thought he was kinda underrated... just doing his own thing. i always think of him doing that big one-foot over that oil drum.

The name of that band was The Ellipse not Eclipse. Not 100% on that but yeah, there you go.

I appreciate seeing these photos again, and thanks for all the kind comments. The band is The Eclipse, and not Ellipse. -mw

Hey now! Pete Wyndham, Mark's brother here. I was busy playing in punk rock bands outta O'side and being a crazy derilick fuckup during the 90's and totally missed out on my brother's skating and illustrious career. Wish I had known how good he truly was. People would tell me how good he was here and there, but I missed the boat. He just emailed me outta the blue to tell me he's getting married. Wish my brother all the best and happiness in life, always have. The kid had a super rough childhood and his ability to overcome it and reach the heights in skating he did, fuck I'm super proud of him. Just wish he woulda stuck with it ya hear me?! Haha! And check me out on ReverbNation if you wanna hear my punk rock tunes, just look up Wyatt Scott, my stage name. Got tons of vids on You Tube as well. I opened for the Ramones in 88' with my O'side punk rock band The Giant Burritos. Alright, enough bragging, keep skating, surfing, and rockin' people!
