chrome ball incident #906: seven and seven is

"I will always trip on gravity."

I lose count of how many ledge tricks are seen for the first time in this part. Legendary status.

And I could've sworn I had this interview of Rudy's already posted on here... getting old, I guess.

In other news, always love some Crankers.

Big thanks to Jim Kelso, Ryan Smith and Luis Cruz (got it today... stoked)

I've always thought that Rudy was the unsung hero of Video Days. His part really is ahead of it's time. I remember my first "popsicle" deck was his Blind racing series #7 deck and learning pressure flips on it! Good times.

Grew up in the same neighborhood as Rudy. We skated together and are still friends. Just a beautiful human being. Enough said. Carlos.

I still regret never getting those RJ1's...

nice post. I remember that interview and tripping out on it. The kf 50-50 on the round bar kinda blew me away. Balance and all. Such a good style in general. Unique.

Had all black RJ1's. Great shoe at the time.

Wait, is that really a tre flip over a pool? 1.5 to 1.5?

holy shit the RJ1's fucking exlpoded, they were everywhere. Something about the 90's, shoe trends were global...first those, then the Sal 23's, probably the two biggest skate shoes of all time, no kidding.

Damn Chops, how 'bout a shoe post? The two I mentioned plus the original black leather Crickets would encompass mass photos!

His name was on the first Girl board I ever bought, though it was pretty much on his way out of professional skating. Rudy is too rad and severely underrated. Long live the 90's!

Never understand why he never got a full part since The Video Day. To me he alway look like another mix-part boy from Girl-Choco project. No hate but no "supa-hype" kind of feeling.
For me, the TWS interview was the greatest souvenir, good trick and good interview.
