chrome ball incident #783: hoody hoo

"I work on lightening up everyday, but it’s hard because I also think my obsessiveness has been a key factor in everything I’ve accomplished."

One of the gnarliest dudes in existence, JT.

This part still gets my hyped.

Definitely have a soft spot for 180s to switch 50-50... just something about that trick.

And in other news, I'm really tripping off this Married With Children short. A fun little piece featuring two of CBI's favorite Minnesotans (Mr. Sissi and Mr. Plus) in addition to the always enjoyable Steve Nesser. Good vibes all around. Great work, gentlemen.

Walking away from the Leap Of Faith unharmed is amazing.

That quote perfectly encapsulates my work day today.
I totally agree about that trick too. You're on it, Chops, you're always on it.

That front tail photo is a classic, that and the front smith from the board graphic have become very iconic images in skateboarding. And I agree with the 180 to switch 5050, such a sick trick. I love a good ol' Barley grind too

Also, I know a lot of people weren't down with the company and its designs, but who else loved all of jt's pro models on circa? Appleyard's first pro model was nice too.

I'll never forget meeting JT. It was two summers ago during a Zero Tour. I traded him a NOS Chomp On This board (it was a Zero board he didn't have) for a Tour board. He spent the first thirty minutes of the Demo getting every Team rider to sign the Tour board for me and that was after talking to me for a good twenty minutes. The dude is a class act! We all know he is an amazing Skateboarder, but it was rad to find out he's just as gnarly as a human being. He may be intense, but I think that's good. He knows the "Job" of a Pro Skateboarder is less about landing tricks and more about inspiring the kids. He instills that in his riders. Everyone of them is kind, signs autographs and answers the kids questions. I respect that. No vibing from his riders unless you're an asshole.
Great job Chops!
