That Poweredge cover still blows me away 20+ years later.

I was in awe of that 50/50 when that interview came out... Coming from lance I mean. Always dug this guy. Who didn't?! One of the best. He's 10 yrs older than me... Fuck, I gotta step up my game :(

You went waaay back for that first photo / magazine cover. I like seeing those old photos, even though it was completely before my time.

Mid-90s Lance cracks me up.
And how old is he now: 47? Still ripping!

He's the greatest of all time.

Still hoping for a Bones Brigade week.

the handrail 50-50 is fake! he put wood up to the rail to make it only about a foot to ollie up to the rail.
cool sequence though. just saying it wood of been legit if he straight ollied to it with out using props.

It's crazy to think that Lance, at 33, seemed paleolithic. The pros he mentioned in the profile—Rick, Guy, etc.—are all in their mid 30s. Rick Howard must almost be 40.

And early-80s Lance looks like every current pro.

Mr. Mountain rips and reminds us to not take it all so seriously. I think his attitude, creativity and sense of humor is a huge influence on the Girl/Chocolate skate camps.

Thanks Lance,

not hating but Lance shoulda been the household name over Tony.

He could have rode onto that rail for all I care - great human being and an awesome post. Skateboarding is lucky to have him.

I like that big rail 50-50 as well. Surprised me when I first saw it way back when.

That last Lance Flip part was amazing. Dude is definitely a legend.

Jack the Filmer:

First off, please tell me that your use of "wood" instead of "would" was intentional. Cause I love the shit out of puns.

Second, let's wait til you're 34 years old (apologies/condolences in the event that you've already reached that withered age.)

I'll give you a hundred bucks and I'll take you out to Benihana's if you proceed to grind that 75 foot handrail. I'll give you 600 tries; I'll be back next week. Hell, we can even go to Chili's and I'll buy you all the Quesadilla Explosion salads you can possibly handle.

You can use a piece of wood, a jumpramp, boneless to it, hop on, whatevs-cause that shit Lance did definitely wasn't "fake". Dunno if you need to borrow my glasses, but it looks like he rode away from it to me.

Also, I can't count on 2 hands the amount of people in embody the pure fun and awesomeness in skateboarding, and Lance has done that for the 24 years I've stepped on one (Boneite or no). Keep that shit up Lance!!

OMFG, he did a Fall Guy in that interview? One of the rarest tricks to be caught on film. More proof of Lance's unfadeability.
