chrome ball incident #677: 3-piece chicken dinner

"I don't throw temper tantrums. I just get pissed off!"

Not sure if people realize how important this dude is, Kris Markovich.

So many classic parts.

Big ups to Supra Distribution, DLX, and my friends at Skateboarder.

  1. Kris is my favorite skater. His 180 down the double set in the Union video is a triumph. His best part in a skate video. He is a beast. He has been killing it for more than two decades...pure win.

  2. Always had a magnificent frontside indy.

  3. i watched Winona Riders so much back in the day. think of how quickly he progressed between that and the 101 video (his peak, as far as i'm concerned).

who does dude ride for now?

  6. Burly style, always in control. Another one the kids just don't get (try asking one what a Vich Flip is).

He rides for Given now I think.

  7. krisithinkthisisanolliechrome.jpg I never knew what trick it was in the Indy ad either.

Really dig the kf with the black/gum airwalks.

Angle on that fs air Prime ad is amazing.

All his sponsor jumping I think tarnished his legacy a bit. Every kid today should know how good and gnarly he was/is.

  8. What's he up to now?

  9. Chops you did it again! But real talk, Markovich's dumbest move was leaving 101 for.... well I have no idea where he went. All I know is that Color was sick, then the company folded and became Prime.

  10. Finally a skater that can spell his name right!

I saw this cat at a local contest back in '88 I think(Big Deal on Beale)and he was impressive then and still rips.

I really dig the art direction from his Crimson and Given companies. He also has a budding etsy franchise going.

  11. A-1 MEATS DANICIN IN THE DIRT was when I became a fan.Best part in that video too. This guy should be paid for life from skating but is having the same troubles as ricky oyola trying to run a small skate company and stay afloat.

  13. One of my all-time favorites. He had so much good coverage.

I always wondered about that Indie ad, too, though I'm pretty sure it's an ollie. And that Union ad. So sick. I had 47-mm Urine-Thanes.

  14. Kris is still killing it to this day. I wish him and Lucero would get together. Markovich on Black Label would be a match made in heaven!

  15. I think it's awesome how in all of his video parts Markovich is getting tricks at spots that are just getting blown up today. The gap to noseslide he does in the 1994 Color video, for example...it took over ten years for someone else to get a new trick on it (Slash, Fallen's Ride The Sky). The dude was ahead of his time...
