Just re-watched his part from the first Real video. I really like that section now although at the time I remember the older skaters fronting on it. Fast, flowing and refined.. That and his first 'Future Primitive' section still make me want to head out the door and string a line of tricks together or just cruise down the street..
That was so epic, just got my issue in the mail. Had no idea the extent of his renaissance manness. Didn’t know he was the mastermind behind some of the greatest skate videos ever made in the mid 90s. Keeping style alive and at the forefront in the midst of handrail chomping machine gun editing .
This issue was great: the Blade Runner themed article by Tom Karagolov (and-the sticker, which would make a good t-shirt), the TG interview, and that Ice-T shirt. Had always wondered about that. Wasn't there a photo of Natas wearing that while skating at those ledges near the curbs at Venice Beach? That, and Thiebaud's PE beanie were awesome.
Late to the game but had to say something: thank you for this one. Tommy Guerrero has been one of my all time favorites since I first stepped on a board back in the 80s. This was a really well researched and well done interview.
