chrome ball incident #823: keep on truckin'

"It sucks. I'll find a spot and have to keep it quiet until I do my thing so Jimmy doesn't come and switch pressure flip it..."

A personal favorite here at the Chrome Ball Incident, Huf. So stoked he's coming out with a new part soon.

I don't think this part gets enough credit. I just love the flow of it. Perfect.

In other news, my man Larry Ransom sent me over a copy of his Pure Fun zine and its pretty incredible. Tons of old photos that are a lot of fun to look at, its obvious that a lot of work went it to this. Check it out for yourself here.

And one last thing, I know several people were talking about this shot of Jaya's a few weeks ago but I couldn't locate it in time. Well, there's obviously going to be another post of his coming soon but I wanted to go ahead and post this up now for those that were wondering.

  R.I.P.

  1. That first ad is perfect. It's just classic SF. Vans should have tried to keep Half Cabs on guys like Huf forever.

And that pigeon in the RW ad! It almost got Randy Johnson'd (http://youtu.be/qwpRHrAh3pk) by a Huf ollie!

  3. Just read the old Big Brother interview with Huf where he talks about the blind date and then you posted the article. Mind blown. Great as always.

  4. Black rock kf is a classic. Always liked Huf... nice loose truck style, big pop. I can't remember but did he ever have a pro shoe on DC?

And that Bonderov photo is crazy!

  5. Good stuff. Used to have that "Keith on Truckin" Thunder ad taped to my wall. For more Hufnagel and more DLX go on youtube and search "Ride On 1995" classic

  6. Odd. I've always thought his non-fiction part was amazing.
Everytime you do a Huf post I keep hoping I'll see this half page write up on style from a 1994 issue of TWS. Had a pic of Huf doing a bs flip on a wood bank. I remember reading that as a kid, it was real eye opener.

  8. yeah, I never noticed that pigeon til the other day. pretty nuts. and you know Huf was hauling ass too.

No DC shoe for Huf back then... it was Danny, Colin, Rudy and Dyrdek getting models first if I remember correctly.

I'll keep an eye out, Leiv.

And I definitely have to dust off my copy of Ride On... its been a minute. But I do remember that whole second part being a montage to that TG song... I actually think TG even edited that. But regardless, that shit is magic.

    Thanks guys.
