I've been following this blog since the beginning. Nearly every day. I'm ashamed I've never left a comment. Thanks for the amazing work you've done! Easily one of the best sites and this has made so many bad and good days better and inspirational! Being young(23) I've missed some of the most amazing stuff in magazines but lucky for us this site exists. Epic thanks from Finland!
great post, thanks so much for this, so many of my favs in there... brings back memories of receiving a mag in the post and being hyped on what was laid inside... the hensley frontside ollie is the star! don't know if it's just me but seems skate photography has lost it's sole a bit...

Thank you for 4 years of pure pleasure!!! Fantastic interviews, guest posts and forgotten mindblowing pictures. CBI turned out to be the place to jumb into the time machine. We wish you all the best and hope that you keep up doing this thing for alot longer then another 4 years. As a little present we figured out the truth about the Jordan Richter story, when they have been watching Video days with him and his part was edited out, if it really happened or not. The answer is given here by the man himself:
Your blog is my first stop of the day, everyday. I started skating in 8th grade (2001) and have read almost all the mags since. Some of the pics that came out before I got into skating still hype me so much, especially the mid/late 90s stuff. They're mysterious , with little text, and a p.o box for contact info. They give me the same feeling as when I realize I'm skating by myself in a parking lot at midnight, in the winter, with nobody around, and that that fact couldn't make me happier. Keep up the good work.
Chops, once again you're reminding me of my old bedroom wall. Thanks for the memories, G.
BTW today's my 30th. I took off work and I'm off to the skatepark. Gotta do it grown man style though, wake up eat my yogurt and granola, take my vitamins, stretch and remember to not try anything to wild. No more pounding soda and chips!
Chops, I appreciate the hours digging through the crates and then scanning and then cleaning and then arranging and then posting and then.......well, you get the idea. Congrats on four years. Has it taken you to places you didn't think it would?
Great post. Gives me the same vibes as that Dysfunctional book that came out many years ago (nude bowl, Miller at Upland, HUF cups & jugs, etc) Photos that really capture why I skate. Fuck yes.
First site I look at everyday. When you go on a break I remember the date you'll be back. Keep
A few years ago I fucked up my back really bad. It now hurts to even push most days, but I when it doesn't feel super messed up I get to go roll around the local parks. This site helps keep the fire burning. Thank you Chops.
Thanks so much for the support, fellas. It truly means a lot and definitely keeps this thing going.
Thanks FFL, Skately and Vert Is Dead.
Happy Birthday K! No more chips for you, old man.
