O.G. SF wunderkind who definitely got biz at the grocery store, Sarge is a true pioneer who played no small part in laying down the crucial groundwork on that streetstylee tip.

Totally fanned out on this guy when I was 12 at a Hensley demo but he handled it cool. Thanks Danny.

Slappy on the big block? Switch BS180 down the 7?

    Never been to the Safeway curb in SF, but I watched him destroy it every day after school for a long time in '90/'91, thanks to a copied copy of Useless Wooden Toys...

    I was watching to his 1281 part just yesterday! Danny was my favourite skater back in the days, unfortunally i think he had some drug problems in the mid nineties.

    no comply to hurricane is pretty nuts! Always liked Danny Sargent. He skated like a wildman! sw bs 180 down the 7 was great back then. Even today, it would be good.

    I can do wallrides but not really slappies. The one he does on the big block is beyond a mere slappy... that's a wall ride to bs 5050.

    I skated the Safeway double sided curb when I first visited SF in the summer of 91. Such a great curb spot. Skated lots of random Safeways down there and they all had red painted waxed curbs of some sort.

    Neat to see ads for Schmitt Stix wheels. lol Who the heck rode those back in the day. I think Speed Wheels and Bones had the wheel market cornered.

    Danny was probably the nicest pro I've ever met. I got to meet him at Woodward way back in the day when I was a little shit. He hung out and was just super nice to all the campers. I was always so bummed that he disappeared after that. Rad style and real cool guy.

    I got to skate with him a bit in the 80's, he was a total ruler. Could slappy anything anywhere-amazing style.

    i was lucky enough to skate with sarge when he lived in portland. rebel skates! this was in the streetplant and jump ramp days. i think he taught me backside ollie 180's off of the stage at waterfront.
