chrome ball incident #315: aw-toe-mo-beel

I tried to vary up the trick selection at first...

but about halfway through I kinda just said "fuck it, it's Donger."

Armed with the biggest pop in skateboarding as well as one of its most fucked-up nicknames, Kien Lieu.

The braids are cool but I always kinda preferred that high-top he used to rock.

Glad I could sneak in some JTMR in there. (sorry, image taken down)

Someone tell me why people do this?

Jovontae's take.

lmfao. Same with my wife. re-edits suck because you lose the skateboard sounds, which is 75% of what makes a clip awesome.

    Donger's sick.

  6. That frontside lipslide at 1:23 on the Enter the Donger video is freaking insane

  7. D getting much deserved props. Thanks for posting this. I'll make sure he sees this post. We used to bomb this hill from Bankers Hill into Downtown SD and he would just blast over anything in his path. Electrical boxes, motorcycles, hydrants, all these things easily waist high and up.

  9. I've been looking forever for this one thrasher interview with Donger, where he's ollie-ing up huge loading docks. Oh well

That MTV episode of Donger talking about poetry and skating SD was sick. It was a real trip to see that stuff on TV back in the day.

  10. I wish companies would release a capella versions of skate parts with no music. Then people could re-edit without losing the skate sounds. You still couldn't prevent a tragedy like that, though.

  13. didn't know that song was gonna touch such a nerve with the ladies out there. haha

Nah, i don't mind re-edits whatsoever... but damn, its sad the only version of that classic part online has to be watched on a mute-only basis.

thanks june. i can only imagine bombing a hill with that dude blasting everything in sight.

saw donger skate at a life demo back in the day, everyone was doing tricks on this quarterpipe while donger was busy doing tricks over the back into the quarterpipe. it was crazy.

going to my mom's house soon and gonna try to find my copy of stun... i'll try to post that up.

    thanks for posting johnny.

  16. I totally forgot about this dude and then I'm watching the Skate Mafia Am video and he shows up in the friends section. I did a double take and was like, was that Donger? Pretty funny.

  17. G&S is back! crazy.

When Donger does tweaked grabs and crazy kick flips in videos, I feel like I gotta yell out kung-fu noises.

  18. There was one photo of Donger busting over an electrical box of some kind in a Transworld mag in the 90's that I remember blew my mind..
