chrome ball incident #223: you gots to chill








one of skateboarding's most innovative thinkers (both on and off his board), Andy Howell. a dude so far ahead of the curve, his bank account must be cursed.

skating with Gonz in the late 80's, learning to make beats with DJ Premier and starting a group with Lil' Jon in the early 90's, starting Underworld Element, helping out a young upstart named Shepard Fairey, and the list goes on and on.... dude's on some real-life Forrest Gump shit. check out his book, Art, Skateboarding and Life. recommended.

    Looking back on some of his footage now, he doesn't seem as awesome now as he did back then. Although he was definitely one of the first guys I remember doing switch stance shit.
