  1. Cool guy... Decent skater... But why kick off gurus like Paulo Diaz in the late 90s and keep a mediocre skater like Mike (no offense... You are dope). I just cant understand GIRL anymore. "family"... Whatever

  2. At the end of his "Mouse" part, as he rolls away from that front crooks to fakie, the dude rapping says something like: "dedication to Mike York". Is this some obvious piece of trivia that everyone knows about but me? If not then, well, it is cool anyway. Pants fit just right during the Mouse era. Anyone else not really feeling the sarcastic, jokie, self-deprecating thing girl is running with at the moment? It was better when they weren't self-conscious about how they were and were just straight up cool. Chocolate is still rad though.

  8. Never seen that interview before. Thanks!

What the heck is a "hyphy movement"?

There was a Turf interview with him in the past year and he lives in some random city in CA and he's a family man. Can't front on that.

  12. i loved york back in the day. mostly because all i can skate are ledges and flat, and that was his deal.

but also because he seemed like he was way funny and easy to get along with. as far as i knew, he was down for a good time, and he didn't lay a lot of hate.

that, to me, was someone i wanted to hang around.

  14. Backhanded compliments and snide remarks aside, I love this guy. Mike's a homie and always will be. Awesome skater and amazing father. People are entitled to their opinions, but really shouldn't speak on things they know nothing about. One thing I can guarantee is that Mike loves skateboarding and it shows.

This is dedicated to Mike York...
