Quick Tuesday post featuring skateboarder, photographer and dance extraordinaire, Mr. Tony Cox

Tony's '98 Slap interview coupled with his amazing '00 TWS Photography Portfolio that I could've sworn I posted already...

Always loved that shot of dude with the lizard on his head.

How does one exactly do a wallride to backside 360 melon grab out? I think he earned the day's high-score on that one.

And in other news, so totally stoked on this.

This is rad, all of it. It's such a reminder of Slap and really points out that missing part of what's seen in skateboard "media" these days. Be weird and different!

Always liked this guys skating. Very much a break from the norm. Really cool trick selection and style. The wallride melon was so dope, totally baffled me. The Japan on the TWS cover is so sick. How do you get that high out of that thing??

3rd frame in that silverstar ad is as illusion as it gets. Haha. This dude ripped so hard though. Awesome style aside form the nollie hards. Him and Cairo have to go down in history with having the best nollie illusions tho...

Chops,

Good choice with this one, the first pic (Slap cover) is so awesome. Skating is the best.

Tony Cox was a master. Check out the hops on that fence jump! Nuts. He was also a really good photographer.

Not a big fan of the Berrics but that Battle Commander just killed it! Transcended generations and proved that evolution exists. Doing those tricks on old school boards? Plus the guests ripped as well.

back when iPaths team was huge they had all the unique, stylish guys; Cox, Reed, Quim, Field...not huge backs of tricks, and a little heavy on the hippie jumps, but still rippers and urban artists.
