that autobahn ad is beautiful... love the skateboard supporting the piece of wood. I feel as though John Igei has always been next level. I wish he was more present in magazine/video now but he is honestly just too damn cool... Static IV?
Saw him skating in BK once. Very controlled k/f back 5-0's looking super nice. Nice guy too.
I feel like the death of companies is just as sad when you think about the skaters you won't get to see as much. Like this guy. So good, so good.
I remember seeing Igei skating Pulaski the first time I went to DC, just popping tricks so high on flat ground. I always looked forward to seeing him skate whenever I went up to DC after that.
The Capitol Ad (2nd photo) was the first photo I ever got paid for. Pullin out the archives.
wtf... fakie inward flip down a double set!???Aesthetics ollie ad is so tucked. Great shot. And the Gino clip is great.
Gotta admit, this guy flew under the radar in my world, but every single one of those scans is pure gold. Style for miles. Keep killin' it, Chops!
eegs shoulda been pro back in 99, he was hands down the best skater in the city (save mulledore) and the coolest (save and RIP)... this dude would sell you the shoes off his feet shirt off his back and board he just ripped on for the low...igei made skating affordable for alot of kids that got got by park... 14 yrs ago filmed in days 2:30...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D9kqVQaBFo&feature=player_embedded
save pepe i meat
I was never much for tech skating (still have never landed a t360 flip after nine years on a board) but this guy was one of the first skaters I ever saw in print and his pop and control were inspiring, been a fan ever since
the line at 1:24 in the ryde or die part with the switch hard flip just gave me a chub!
