There's a moment when I pull up Chrome Ball on my phone and I can see the title of the post and the first picture... and I try to guess who it is. It's tricky sometimes- you don't recognize someone right off the bat, or in the photo they look like someone else... With this one, I saw the photo of the frontside noseslide to huge f-ckin' drop, and I thought, Cairo. Crazy sh-t like that almost seems like his specialty.

I love that Big Brother am cover where he's just sitting in the street dazed after a slam. Still putting out good stuff too...as technical as skating is these days, the best trick is still a gnarly ollie like that last shot.

i've always assumed theres a ton of sick Cairo footage locked away somewhere, cuz he was filming for Popwar for a while before it ended and i thought it would end up in Fully Flared but i think that was Ty Evans shot footage in that vid. and that part wasn't very long.
it'd be great if 6 minutes of the lost Cairo footage just cmae out one day

Cairo really is gnarly. Too bad he doesn't wear goggles anymore. So many sick shots. Straight nollie in the Black magic ad is huge. Nollies off of things are always weird cuz you gotta snap your nose so early.

Back lip kinked rail is the same one Duffy bs smiths in slow mo in Questionable?

First thing I remember seeing from this chap was a waist high 50-50 on the window ledge by the EMB end of Pier 7 in either Thrasher or Slap back in 97. Spent some time in SF later that summer and was treated to watching him casually skate the top yard at Wallenberg by himself. Effortless finesse.

Everything else from him since has been on a near-Kirchart level of gnarl, definitely one of the best.

Best Cairo trick will always be the flatground nollie hardflip over a bike rack. At Fort Mason I think. I don't remember what video that was in, though.

HUGE SNAPS

Agree with the Popwar sentiment, should have worked out but didn't. Cairo's style exemplifies precision, check the front nose and catch on the kickflip for proof.

Oh yes they have!
And the DEN is TEXAS with JEB BUSH as the STEM!
And their BEE is completely WHACKED on HEROIN in TORONTO!
And he is telling them EVERYTHING!
So, PETWOOD- HYDRA- OSIRIS...doomed with WASHINGTON.
And that trail led them to BERRIRO.
And then , it was sheer LEARS and YACHTS and AEGEAN.

KEITH: Yes, back lip same rail as Duff, and I think the illest thing done on it next to the back smith, tho I know someone back tailed it. I still think there's more risk/style in back lip.

Ciaran: I got the same memory of seeing him skate solo (before I knew who he was) in the upper Wallenberg section. Nollie lips the backside of the benches. Those rarities (e.g., White Elk sighting) are fond memories. Funny you mention Heath, because the only time I skated with him (too, like Cairo) was a solo ledge session at UC Irvine. Neither dudes said a word. But I can relate to/respect that. Like wandering in to another habitat...
