#670: live from the barbecue

Figured it was high time for a cook-out...

One of the most beloved skateboarders of all-time, Mr. Joe Lopes.

And remember kids, there's always the backyard.

Long-time coming on this one.

R.I.P.

Happy Birthday Elaine! Merry Christmas Peel! <3

This is one of those guys that when you look at the photos, you realize the world is a sadder place without him.

It's good to finally see some Joe online. I'd looked around, but never found anything. I remember his boards from all the catalogs when I started skating.

yeah... I always remember those two classic graphics... the globe in hand and the bbq one. I wanted both those boards! Never saw any footage of him ever.

I have nothing of value to add to the discussion but man... Awesome post. Brings back great memories. when I started back in 84 it was all about backyard vert ramps. Funny how small some of those old ramps are by today's standards. Ha.
