chrome ball incident #586: handsome devil

"The King of what?"

Suave Queens cat with style to spare. Word to Kate Moss.

Big up to the UXA heads and the ABD crew (some new stuff up).

"Shut was the illest team out there. They had the best guys: Coco Santiago, Billy Waldman, Jeff Pang, Sean Sheffey, Brian Blake... No one knows who Brian Blake is!" -Peter Bici

The last time i heard of brian blake he was snowboarding and still skate and change his name to "one love".
He was real good back in the days. I remember skating with him and He ollie down like 13 set first try.. That was crazy.

So many classic pics. The wallride, the two page Zoo ad at the banks, and the bs ollie under the WTC. I remember buying Mixtape the day it came out and Bici's part blew me away. It was one of the first times I felt like I had to go skate New York. Big ups!

I skated with Peter Bici a couple times back when he rode for Think and was visiting the west coast. I always thought his footage in videos never really did him justice, he was way better in person, just such a solid and stylish skateboarder. From professional skateboarder, to actor, to calvin klein model, to fire fighter, seems like he's had a pretty diverse and amazing life.

The photo where he's ollieing the bike rack on the sticker-covered deck—is that a Chocolate board? I heard the Zoo dudes would trade their packages for World, Girl and Chocolate boards.

And that tailslide shot from Thrasher is awesome.

I remember Brian Blake he was from Ridgewood N.J and he was good as hell. I remember going to the city with him a few times to skate the Brooklyn Banks. Blake placed 4th in the N.S.A 1989 amateur contest in Phoenix beating Ron Chatman, Ed Templeton, Barker Barrett when they still were ametuers.
