#568 is not afraid of you and will beat your ass

"decks and necks got snapped in equal numbers. you didn't fuck with that dude."

o.g. venice regulator that could go through a month's supply of boards before lunch.

always gotta wonder what could've been had he not gotten kicked off the Bones Brigade... or gotten the hang of that pesky flatground ollie. but that's what made him the Mess. pizza box graphics and all.

the self-imposed makeshift World vert rider... because he thought Rocco never would've made it otherwise.

glad to see him out there still ripping and doing this thing. legendary status.

UPDATE: I'd been working on this post for days with no idea of the very recent events surrounding Jess. If anyone has any info on where we can send donations for the Mess, let me know.

...he'll still beat your ass though.

All these pics are ill. He was the best launch ramper, wall rider, handplanter....

His demise.... he couldn't ollie.

That Method he did off the jumpramp at the Palace of Fine Arts in Animal Chin is still one of my favorite things in skateboarding ever...to this day.. It was sort of a dream of mine to one day do a Method that looked that good. A guy can dream...

Sorry Chops. Not yet. T-Minus 7 days and counting.

Chops, Jesse just took a serious beating while doing his routine Venice park service, and had a MAD stack of Hospital bills thanks to it...if you could ask the readers to check into it and maybe throw a few bucks his way, that would be awesome. This isn't cool at all for Jesse, but hopefully he'll be okay and we can help him.

Of course, Sammy.

Trying to find info on this but not coming up with any.

Anybody with info, send it my way.

Could he seriously not ollie!? I find that hard to believe. Or is there an inside joke I don't know about?

Launch ramp days were so gnarly!

love this dude. first real power style dude on street? couldn't ollie? i as well did not know this. i'm shocked. style for miles. i'm sad to hear about the recent shitty luck. hope he recovers quick.

How do you do a stalefish that sick without ollie'ing.

I'm not saying that Jess absolutely couldn't do an ollie... and he definitely had them on transition as his part in rubbish heap attests.

but as far as a functional flatground ollie, it just never really seemed to be his strength. compare mess with lee and mike v in this demo footage:

Chops, in my post from the other day, I wrote about who cares if his was not capable of the perfect flatboard ollie; maybe he was better at beating people's asses if they screwed with him. What's wrong with that?-Florida Woman

Anyone know of the story of him and Kelch getting into fisticuffs at a tradeshow one time?

Get well soon Jess!

does anybody have any info/updates on the Jesse M? I can't find anything online... I hope he's doing well. One of my all timers, for sure.

I remember reading about that Mess/Kelch thing in Big Brother... it was at a trade show or something? I remember reading that he threatened to stab Kelch with a pen or something like that? I'd LOVE to hear that story
