chrome ball incident #467: keep on truckin'

sometimes gnar sports a fu-manchu.

speed, fire and damnation.

legendary status.

on the personal tip, ever have your dentist awkwardly try talking to you about skating while he's got his hand shoved in your mouth, drilling fucking holes in your head? not recommended.

only yesterday! I have some hill bomb wounds on my hands and arms and he was talking about how I'm just glad I didn't sack on the rail. He wasn't that embarrassing but I couldn't get a word in!

My last pro board was a wade black label. Felt weird having a confederate flag on my board but most of the time I rode it was in France so I'm not really sure how it was understood anyway.

Having tattoos in your mouth goes over really well with dentists.

Never, but cleanings are so necessary for teeth vitality. Problems of the tooth are no joke. Readers of the chrome ball, schedule cleanings immediately if it's been a while.

lol

I had a pediatric dentist until well into my 20's. He ruled! Then I moved to Vancouver and had to get a new one... he's average at best. I grind when I sleep so I gotta rock a mouth guard whilst sleeping.

I'd like to get my hands on an image of Wade's first Dogtown graphic... the one with a drawing of, I believe, him. Danville. So sick.

I was always surprised he rode for Powell. iirc the rumour was he was gonna ride for one of the Rocco companies before he picked Powell.

my dentist didn't think i was a "real" skater because I always seem to wear button-up shirts. he then proceeded to tell me how much he loved "dogmen in z-town". it just made it that much more painful.

keith, fellow teethgrinder / mouthguard wearer myself. as is peel.

and yeah, in wade's tws interview in '92, he's riding rocco-affiliate decks in every photo. would've been sick had he gone but not quite sure where he would've went though.

Just saw a pic of him and Andy Roy in one of the latest Thrasher issues.
Both with their kids.Andy Roy and a baby...somehow strange but cool.

Would be awesome to see an Epicly Later'd with Wade or Andy.

Back in 92ish we ended up at Tony Hawks house to do some filming for i think it was Hot Batch??? Well we stayed there for about 3 daze..
All i can remember is Wade getting up every morning at around 6am...1st he would blast the stereo to full tilt with his Slayer tapes...(waking everbody in the house)...Then he would just leave to go skate the ramps...Never once would he turn the Slayer down..He would just walk rite out the door with his skate in his hand and coffee in the other, ready to do some damage...lmao...

Thanks Wade those 3 daze were priceless....

Hey chops. Im in sydney and i'm stoned as fuck watching fraizer. It is cold here now. I think that was my favorite post of all time. I grew up on the 411 europe videos and need for speed was my first video and his part was so dope, he talks in a sarcastic gay accent and I thought that was hillarious at the time. That air from the vert to the flat bank in Munster or somewhere is amazing, Cardiel and Burnquist AH brodown on the platform, and I think that is Morford watching from below. Also the spine transfer on the Drehoble board. Think was so rad, is it cool now and I don't get ir? Or does it just suck?

Tully.

Dude, there was an Epicly Latr'd with Wade.

It was an episode about him and Karma and Alan Peterson and Cardiel, how they were going balls out in the pressure flip era.

Or maybe I hallucinated it.
