Just a vert guy trying to get attention, man.

Nice, but how about a Tas and Ben Pappas post.

I have been so psyched on Max lately. His skating reminds me of a cannonball. He had some great tricks from the Rumble in Ramona.
His line at the end of this clip is awesome. Best backtail on vert.

Oh, and his tube sock old school vibes just add that much more.

the disaster photo is sick. it's cool seeing Schaaf without pads. picture perfect style and the spitfire wheel graphic just makes it that much more classic

aside from blender, my favorite vert skater ever. the cool thing about max schaff is its more fun to watch him mess around than an actual video part- and his parts are always very good. unlike a lot of skaters (ESPECIALLY modern vert skaters), you get the feeling you could session with him and it'd be fun as hell.

(don lafontain voice) IN A WORLD where overly competitive brazillians dominate vert with intense training programs, one man defied the norm and decided to enjoy himself...

I think Max is even more Oakland and Ron Allen. Seriously, I can't go out to lunch without running into Max. Great guy, and one true ramp legend.

I never had a chance to meet Max and his coverage has been sporadic, so I never really got a sense of who he was. Then I ran across his blog:

and I was hooked. Recognize!
