felt like closing out the week with some classic old school gonz.

that stalefish over lance ('89) makes me very happy...

glad he lost the braids.

I think that Safeway curb is the convex one (in Psycho Skate). The photo doesn't do it justice as Gonz is still on his way up.

The second and third photos are two of my favorite photos ever! I remember seeing them in the mags when they first came out and they have not lost a hint of pure awesome in the 20 odd years since they were originally published.

I've been looking for that boneless shot for a long time. I think that spot was called Gemco, and I think he had a frontside ollie photo there too.

One of my favorite Gonz photos is from a Pacific NW tour in SLAP. It's thew center spread of a shifty at the Eugene, OR park a big Z board

Third from last photo:

I always thought it was a premature snap of a rocket, but upon closer inspection, he's goofy grabbing with his right hand. Could be a tweaked out slob. Maybe a bad picture of a slob fastplant. It could also be a switch frontside nosebone (hence the inverted name and Vision logo).

This was before every photo of a trick was meticulously labeled.

yeah, bobjohn, that's the same safeway curb from psychoskate and you're right, it doesn't give it justice. but i do like gonz's shoes in that photo though.
